BOOK A CALL · BY APPOINTMENT

Book an Introductory Call

Choose a time that suits you and the calendar below will hold it. The call is a short, private conversation to understand the matter and decide whether it belongs in this practice.

Before the calendar

An introductory call runs about thirty minutes. It is a scoping conversation, not advice on your facts: enough to establish what the matter is, how quickly it is moving, and whether a private mandate is the right response.

If you would rather set out the situation in writing first, the three-step request at /private-consultation reaches me directly and usually makes the call itself shorter and more useful.

THE CALENDAR · THIRTY MINUTES

Choose a time

Times shown are Eastern. Pick a slot and the confirmation arrives by email from the scheduler; the call itself is placed to the number you provide.

Calls are personally handled — there is no call centre and no intake team. If nothing on the calendar works, WhatsApp +1-647-510-8878 and a time can be arranged directly.

What to have to hand

Nothing formal is required. If these are within reach, the call moves faster:

  • The CRA correspondence itself — the letter, notice, or reassessment, and the date it is dated.
  • Any deadline printed on it, including a filing or objection date.
  • A rough sense of the amount in question and the years involved.
  • Which entities are affected — the operating company, a holding company, a trust, or you personally.
  • Whether an accountant, bookkeeper, or lawyer is already involved.

Do not send documents ahead of the call. Nothing needs to be uploaded to book a time.

Before you book

What to know first

  • Booking a call does not create a professional-client relationship. A mandate begins only with a signed engagement letter.
  • Please keep confidential identifiers out of the scheduler's notes field — no SIN, no business or account numbers, and no scans of CRA correspondence. Those belong in a secure exchange once a mandate is in place.
  • Accountant communications are generally not privileged in Canada. Where a matter may become contentious, counsel should be involved early and may need to lead the engagement.

Prefer to set the matter out in writing first? The three-step request at private consultation reaches me directly.
